Abstract

El Proyecto Cañón Zapata es una original experiencia de investigación; especialmente en lo referente a su función de monitoreo mediante la recolección sistemática de datos. Este artículo trata acerca de los resultados de dicho proyecto hasta junio de 1998, relacionados con los flujos migratorios de entrada y salida de México a Estados Unidos, y específicamente se analizan las características más importantes de la migración irregular o indocumentada. ABSTRACT The Cañón Zapata Project is a unique research experience thanks to its systematic harvesting of data. The content of this article displays and discusses the project's results until June 1998. The author deals with entrance and exit migratory flows from Mexico to the United States, and his main concern is the analysis of the characteristics of the undocumented migration to the U.S.
