Abstract

El propósito de la presente reflexión es mostrar que la llamada globalización económica se acompaña también de la universalización de una forma de representación política conocida como democracia liberal(Farfán, 1996), mientras a escala planetaria existe un proceso donde la tecnología, la generación, el procesamiento y la transmisión de la información es fundamental para la toma de decisiones y, al mismo tiempo, para incrementar la productividad en un mundo donde la competencia económica ha generado una interconexión compleja de los diversos mercados nacionales. Aunque esta revolución tecnológica tiende a uniformar el consumo o las preferencias mediante la creación de símbolos, su impacto es mínimo en lo que se refiere a la creación de condiciones más equitativas para tener acceso a sus beneficios
